Picking them up and putting them down. In physiological terms we make a distinction between 2 types of training:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Increasing Muscle Mass (hypertrophy)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-checkbox has-neve-text-color-color has-text-color wp-block-list\" style=\"color:var(--nv-text-color)\">\n<li>Commonly known as &#8220;body building&#8221;, whether you&#8217;re competing or just a regular gym go-er.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing muscle mass in specific muscles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fatiguing muscles while maintaining form as much as possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some general guidelines: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Volume and intensity:<\/strong> 6-15 reps at 65-85% of 1RM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Total volume:<\/strong> 10-30 sets per muscle group per week <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frequency:<\/strong> 2-3 times per muscle group per week<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Total training days:<\/strong> 3-6 days per week<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Intention:<\/strong> Training each set with the intention of giving it your all. The last 2-3 reps feel super challenging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These guidelines are subject to variation.
